Digital catalogue of type specimens from Singapore and other countries in SE Asia
Timeline: 2019 to 2024
Specimen data and information on animal species in Singapore and other countries in SE Asia remain scattered around the world. This project aims to assemble all known species of selected animal groups in SE Asia, complete with a bibliography of original species descriptions, specimen images, and information on the museum/institution that might hold the specimens

Digital imaging of original specimens collected from Singapore and other countries in SE Asia
Timeline: 2017 – 2023
The main goal of this project is to make Singapore’s animal specimens data available in digital format, allowing the updates of specimen catalogues within collections. Besides publishing the digitised data (see Digital catalogue of type specimens), we also develop standardised workflows for digitising type specimens using material collected from Singapore held within the Zoological Reference Collection (ZRC) as an exemplar.
